I think there was some chemistry there definatly. But I think that Qui Gon is too much of a 'gentleman' to have a one night stand with a vulnerable yet attractive single mom!
Now, I wonder if Obi Wan ever had a girlfriend!

actually that nite he took her out to a nice candel lite dinner. the downside is that shmi is kinda a lush (she used to get drunk and beat anakin on a regular basis). she ended up drinking 2 bottles of a cheap red wine (qui gon is actually quite cheap. being a jedi doesnt pay what it used to). anyway, they left the restaurant and shmi ended up hanging all over qui gon on the ride home. she was kissing his neck, she kept taking his hand and putting it between her legs. qui gon was all hot and bothered and ready to go. they get back to schmi's place, they're getting hot and heavy together. as quigon is sitting in front of her, taking off her top, he reaches behind to unhook the bra, when suddenly schmi blows chunks all over him! it was all red (from the cheap wine) and full of bantha meat. she ended up passed out. but though they didnt have sex, while quigon was in the shower, getting rid of all the schmi puke, he started rubbing himself suggestively (think about it, soap, warm water....) as he started pleasuring himself, jar jar bursts into the bathroom, falling into the shower, they both tumble over each other and certain body parts from one fell into certain body parts of the other. so while qui gon didnt have sex with shmi, him and jar jar technically did.

Very interesting question since I thought of it, too. I say no. There has not been a lot of innuendos to sex in the Star Wars films and I presume Lucas wanted to keep it that way.
