Typically a celebrity can be on location anywhere from three to five months to shoot scenes. I think the most I heard was four months tops. With a few weeks of additional footage shooting, re-shoots and all that.

Holgas are fun little cameras, but the medium format camera I use is a Hasselblad. It's fairly easy to use, and the interchangable backs you can buy are awesome for switching between colour and black and white. There's even a digital back available! You can get second hand ones for quite cheap, but brand new ones cost a lot of money as they are not in everyday use. I can't give you an exact price, but look them up on ebay and such just to see whats around. Also, go to your local camera dealer for a quote. LCE do some great deals! Good luck and happy snapping!

It usually takes 2-3 months to shoot. But editing takes a couple more.

It really varies a LOT. It can take as little as three months. It can take as long as a year and a half. There really is no "typical" length. I guess you can pick a median or average of about 6 months, but that doesn't make it typical.
