If you are looking for the most NFL ready quarterback then it would have to be Brian Brohm of Louisville. But if you are simply looking for the best quarterback in college football then look no further than Chad Henne. While he doesn't have all of the best measurables he has something that none of the other quarterbacks have and that is the winners mentality and all the intangibles that come with it. He always puts his team in the right place to win the game. His only real downfall is the ultra conservative play calling of one Lloyd Carr to blame for his bowl game losses as well as those against Ohio State.

Colt Brennan is my pick then brian brohm. Henne is an okay QB and Colt McCoy is only a sophmore. Booty is overated. A lot of scouts said that if brohm came out this year he would challenge for the top pick he has an extremely high ceiling and even though he isn't mobile neither is payton manning. My favorite is Colt Brennen though i watched some of his bowl game and he was fitting the ball in tight spaces and set records during that game. He may be a product of the system in Hawaii like Detmer but i think that he could prove a lot of people wrong about him.

Colt Brennan may be a product of his offensive system, but I think that he is probably the best QB in college this year.
White is good at passing when he has to be, If I'm not mistaken he's had games with 100 yards running or more and 200 or more passing.
And, watch out for Matt Flynn of LSU. Yes, he sat behind JaMarcus Russell, but the guy has all the tools and skill players to help him have an outstanding season.

first of all who is bobby reid? That name should not even be mentioned
1. Brohm
2. Booty
3. White
4. McCoy
5. Henne
Brian Brohm is a big time quarterback, Im pretty sure peyton manning wasnt too mobile and hes ok. Booty is on USC... its impossible not to perform there, Pat white is no VY, and im not sold on McCoy... Im a huge UT fan but he seems to have durability problems and a lack of arm strength, and Chad Henne is ok at best, complete NFL bust

JDB is overrated just like Leinart because USC has so many offensive weapons. Brennan plays in a weak division and he is good so he is able to dominate with that great offesne. McCoy and Sweed should be fun to watch in Texas and Henne will probably be alright but I think the best will be Brian Brohm even with a new coach

Booty is overrated, but still good. I wouldnt put his name into the Heisman talks until we see how he deals with being #1 in the nation. If he can deal with it, he will be good. If he isnt very good in the spotlight and having every one of his games criticized and scrutinized, then I dont think USC will even be in the top 5.
I personally dont think Chad Henne is that good, although I am a bit biased. His arm isnt as strong as everyone thinks, although he does have that Arrington guy and Mario Manningham. Just like before, unless hes hurt Mike Hart will be a beast, but the defense will be a huge question. If everyone thinks Michigan will be like last years Buckeyes, theyre wrong. Henne is nowhere near as good as Troy Smith, thier two receivers dont compare to Ginn and Gonzalez, and OSU's RB's last year, Pittman and Wells, were better than the single running attack of Mike Hart. The offense will be good, but Im not really liking the defense, they lost everybody.
Im still saying Booty and the Trojans finish #1, and Michigan will finish #5 overall, after being #2 all season, and losing to a better Ohio State defense. Your Title game will be USC vs. LSU.

I think Chad Henne will do the best statistically because of his offense, but I think that Brian Brohm is a better overrall QB and Pat White can burn a defense with his speed.

Louisville QB , Brohm. New head coach, who was qb coach at Buffalo Bills before taking head coach job at Tulsa, changed their offense into a true pro style. The kid will benefit greatly.

Its a toss up between the Colts. McCoy is on a better team, but Brennan's stats are crazy. I also think Booty is way over-rated.

lobbing grenades into the endzone is apparently pretty effective, so don't knock it
haha.....kidding of course......
I'm really having a hard time with this question.
There are so many QBs that you can't tell if they're just a system QB or if they're actually really talented.
obviously, your list is full of guys who should succeed, but who the best is.....I don't know.
I think Pat White will be the hardest to stop....but you're very right....he's kinda got that Mike Vick style
Booty's just so surrounded by talent that if he doesn't play really well, it'll still look like he is
Reid I don't get to watch very much living in Ohio
Colt McCoy showed flashes of being really really good at the college level
and Henne....I don't know what to say about him....he's solid
not exciting....not the best athlete by any means, but he's a good smart QB most of the time.
wow......all that rambling and I didn't talk myself into anybody
it's too bad I wasn't in ignorant/biased idiot fan so I could simply say Anthony Morelli
(which is asinine)
and I wouldn't have to strain my brain thinking about it.
