How long does is take for USA to defeat Iran?

You know Iran is not like Iraq, they are equipment and Russa support them.

I do not think you have to worry about the USA invading and occupying Iran. We've seen what it's like in Iraq, and Iran will only be worse for the USA.
However, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Iran becomes the target of massive airstrikes and bombing on all facilities believed to be nuclear facilities. For hardened underground nuclear facilities, you may in fact see some special forces dropped in, take them over, and destroy them.
In any event, we would get out quick.
That's just my opinion.

I have no intention of listing sources, as this question seeks an opinion. First, I doubt that the United States will invade Iran without the backing of the international community. Iraq has been lesson enough. Second, I am amazed that others here did not know that Iran has a very high concentration of ISPs, households with internet connections, and computers per capita. I am surprised that Iranian youth has not stood up against a theocracy they do not want. The United States should not be entering your country to change your political system. If the people of Iran wish to change their system, they should do it. Finally, I think Iran would gain tremendously if it worked with Europe. Nuclear energy? Why not? Bombs? The world already has too many.
Yes, the United States could quickly defeat Iran with its massive arsenal of sophisticated weapons, but could the United States hold Iran, develop it, sustain it, and maintain security over it? I strongly doubt it. I further doubt that we will conduct such an experiment after Iraq went south.

I don't think the US can defeat Iran. They are stronger, but I don't think they could ever bring enough strength into the region to invade a country as strong as Iran. Unfortunately, the Americans may resort to large scale bombing campaigns, meaning lots of people could be killed, but the new Russian anti aircraft system in the Iranian military may be able to stop most of the American bombers, meaning larger cities might not be hit very hard.
There's no doubt that it would be a long and bloody war, probably more then 10 or 20 years long.

It would not take the US long to defeat Iran we have superior weapons and we are not going to be deterred by Russia. However it is unlikely that the US will ever need to take up arms against Iran. If Iran continues to develop nuclear weapons then it is only a matter of time before Israel takes steps to curtail their usage. No nation in the middle east, nor even all the Nations of the middle east combine could long stand against Israel, who has nuclear ability and is not afraid to use it.
I understand that the people of Iran want peace but you really need to rein in your leadership for your own safety

USA could defeat them in a day because of they bombs they have but if you mean with troups Iran could crush them. The USA is burning up their reserves in Iraq. No offence to your country but Canada, Australia, Brittan and most of Europe, and especially China could defeat Iran but they wouldn't But is USA did attack Iran russia would attack USA and there would be a problem because countries allied with Russia are also Allied with countries apart of the UN or allies of the americans. But USA wont attack Iran unless you start mass producing terrorests. hope you understand me
