It just seems that a double standard is always there when these things happen...where is our vaunted FBI that bends over backwards when a gay or black is attacked but when the victim is white there is no "hate crime?"....as for saying "it has to be because he is white"...show me where a black motorist is beaten by blacks

Just thank the liberal media for making it seem as though that racism towards whites doesn't exist.
It does. And it shouldn't be tolerated anymore than racism against minorities.

The media is afraid to even report those things. There was a murder of two white teens in Tennesee back in January. They were kidnapped and tortured by 3 black men and a black women. It didn't make most national outlets because they were afraid of being called racist by sensationlizing a story of black on white crime. I have no problem with not wanting to make it all about race, but don't try to hide the truth either.

A hate crime is perpetrated on the basis of the races involved. I.E. one race attacks another on the basis of the other's race. Any other situation is still a crime, however, just not a hate crime.

It's a HATE crime only if they beat him up for being white. It goes both ways. The guy who they beat up HAPPENED to be white. I am tired of people throwing out the word racism in EVERY situation. Most people don't even know the true definition of racism.
Edit: I have to say, people on here don't know anything. Look up what a hate crime entails.

Because the media is racist, not pro whites, but pro blacks, since they are the "underdogs".
