Nope! You are very irresponsible and anyone that either doesn't show or shows up late for an interview is trouble. At my company, we do a lot of hiring for a big cable company and as soon as a interviewee is late or shows us the slightest hint of irresponsibility we give them the boot. Don't get me wrong, I have blown off interviews too but that is not the way to get a job. If you are serious about a job, which your not since you choose Shrek over the interview, then you should act like it.

boy you must really not want a job, but that is a good excuse. I would probably not hire you for a normal job. Maybe for an abnormal job i would hire you. But if you like to watch movies, then work at the movie theater.
THat is too funny though, i had an interview yesterday and i was thinking of lying too, but you should call to reschedule

Nope. Cuz you'll just get hired and end up calling in sick for silly reasons as well. Its kind of a respect thing. Right now you think your time is more valuable then other peoples. Even people who you are trying to work for. So no it doesnt make you a bad person but there is no way I'd hire you.

No, I feel that if you can't make a 20 minute interview (you could have rescheduled) and call in sick, what would happen if I hired you and you call in sick all the time. That is not a good way to make a first impression.
And you had your dad call in for you....bad bad bad. very immature.

well sweetie it doesn't look like you want a job that bad! I am surprised that your dad called for you.... There is no way in H E Double Hockey sticks that my dad would ever do something like that for me.... If you want to enjoy your summer then why even look for a job?? I wish I had that option, but I'm stuck in the real world working 40-50 hours a week to support my son. Must be nice... well good luck getting the job honey!

Who knows what might happen if you just showed up for the interview? I might hire you, but I don't think you'd last long given your lack of interest in getting a job.
Your dad is enabling your slacker behavior. Why? What is his ulterior motive? Tell him not to whine when you need money! Just fork it over with a smile.

#1. you did not show up to the interview.
#2. you were not mature and responsible enough to make the call yourself.
employers were not born yesterday nor do they care if you make it or not because they have many applicants that want the job more than you...and it shows.

you are probably not going to get the job! If you call in sick to your interview then you are showing that you can not be relied upon. Start looking again, i would not hire you
