Hi, I have APD.

What are your interesting thoughts/comments.

Also, do you blame me for having APD or do you believe that I was born-with-it.

Also, knowing nothing else about me--what are your comments.

What laws should be made to deal with people like me.

Also, i am overweight. But do not go on tangent and blame the fast-food industry.

PS I am pre-med.

I would certainly NOT go to a doctor with APD. Why should I risk my health by going to someone who would feel zero guilt or shame if I was given the wrong treatment that would jeopardize my quality of life?
Be a lawyer instead.

Just a quick tid bit. After having children I also began feeling as though I may have APD, sweating, heart racing, sick stomach almost anywhere where there were more than 2 or 3 people I knew. I just kept being persistant, making a point to do at least one thing a week that made me uncomfortable. After a year of doing this things seemed better. I can't lie, after 9 years there are still times I feel this way. I guess in short be persistant with yourself.

Antisocial personality disorder not to be confused with social anxiety disorder is a very scary disorder. None of the societal rules and norms apply to the person inflicted with the disorder. I don't know of any effective treatment. I am sure you have had your share of criminal or antisocial activities. Please do not have children and I hope that you don't succeed at becoming a doctor. Ethics do not apply to those with APD. You should be treated fairly but held accountable for your actions to protect people from victimization.
