Right now I have Comcast's free version of McAfee Anti-Virus and Firewall. Is it any good? Or would I be better off getting a free Anti-Virus and Firewall? Which free ones are any good? And finally if I install a new one and take the McAfee off my computer would it conflict the other computers in my house, since they would all still have McAfee

The McAffee from Comcast is a decent product. Most major brands are decent products. You need not have all pcs on the LAN use the same virus protection.

I see no reason to replace it.

McAfee has one of the best anti-virus engines so you can stick to it. You can also try BitDefender 8 Free Edition(doesn't have real time scanning though) or Avira AntiVir Personal Edition or AOL Active Virus(based on Kaspersky engines but really slows your computer when making a full system scan). They're good but don't have integrated firewalls like the paid versions. As for free firewalls you can use the Windows Firewall(only if you have Windows XP Service Pack 2) which is pretty good but if you want to use other firewall then try: Comodo Firewall. And to see how protected you are download AOL`s Active Security Monitor ( I don't really think that what it says it's true but...). You may need an antispyware program like Yahoo! Anti-Spy or Spyware BeGone!(also free). If you ever want to buy an anti-virus I recommend you BitDefender Internet Security(has anti-hack feature not available in cheaper version like Standard Edition and Professional), or Kaspersky. Norton's good too. And I don't think that it will conflict the other computers because I have a friend in this situation and he doesn't have any problems. Good luck!
