What is a good filter for my 38 gallon fish tank?

The tank came with Tetra Whisper 30 but i didn't like it because of the biobag.

Then I bought a Millieum 3000 wet/dry filter, which is doing ok.

But I was thinking of buying a Bio Filter because I heard they do alot of good cleaning.

And also any suggestions for types of Bio Filters i might want?

your wet/dry should have a sponge or something that does biological filtration. biolgical filtration can't be done if it is completely immersed. thats why its a wet/dry filter.

you can use cannisters that have the ceramic bits for housing colonies of bacteria. you get a lot more surface for growing bacteria than in anything else.

bio-wheels do the same thing your wet-dry does -- only yours provides more space for bacteria colonies i think.

Marineland Bio wheel power filters and magnum 350 pro with bio wheels. I have them both and they work good for me. Easy maintenance. ><>:)
