Mine is Led Zeppelin because i grew up listening to them, and they have many great and catchy songs. The Who is a close second.

Everyone can relate to at least one of their songs.
Their music is so catchy
Like I'm just randomly thinking about something that has absolutely nothing to do with the Beatles and all of a sudden a Beatles song pops into my head.
I love John Lennon.
I think he's the coolest dude besides Gandhi .
He did all that stuff .
This might sound so retarded but I think it was a book about John Lennon that made me change my mind
By the end when read the part about John Lennon dying I cried .Why would some one kill him.He did nothing wrong.

This is an insanely hard question, I can't name one band and putting into words why I like them even hard but I'll TRY :)
Joy Division - Songs are relevant to nearly all age groups even 30 years after they were written, Had songs about depression and alienation that weren't overbearing but clearly expressed what most people feel at times, also had energetic songs about the everyday b*ullshit we all go through but it didin't come across as a joke. A solid band that never fails at getting you through hard times. Very hard band to describe just listen to some songs of their's..

Radiohead - The only way I can describe their music quickly is that they are a near PERFECT sonic representation of the feeling you get right before you say "I've had it, enough of this ****"

At the Drive-In - Energy, that's the only way to put it, Pure Un-cut Raw ENERGY... The album "Relationship of Command" is the best example of this..

Marilyn Manson - I know all the bullshit that's been said but the antichrist album trilogy to me was among the best rock ever written, any one with an open mind can see it's value, even if they may not identify with it..

Cannot choose between the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Beatles, the White Stripes, Rage Against the Machine, or MUSE. It is so obvious that there is not one individual band that could possibly be the best, because there is just too much good music out there.

Led Zepplin... They infused many differnet styles into their music, Their musicianship is unequaled, Robert Plant has the best voice in rock history, and they created heavy metal.

Queensryche. Great vocals and music, and every cd is different, yet somehow true to their overall sound. A close second for me would be Triumph.
