The US ranks 37th because of the uninsured's access to healthcare which is at 15% in this country. Otherwise we are the best in every category. You guys are jokes. Go and see the propaganda film Sicko and blindly follow what people tell you.

We are the best in "uninsured's access", too. All hospitals in the U.S. are required by law to provide care for serious medical conditions, no matter what the patient's ability to pay.

What _they_ are whining about is that the "uninsured" cannot go to the E R for a common cold or sore throat at the insurance company's expense.

THAT'S the big deal about nationalizing health care...
IOW, it's all jealousy of those who are insured and abusing the system.

I agree. We do have the best healthcare and it could be better and far cheaper if the government would get their power hungry fingers out of it.

As for the 15% that are uninsured, that is your choice. If you have cable, cell phone, nice car, and other luxuries in life, you have no right to complain about not having health insurance. It is simply a matter of priority.

The way it should be is having a choice in the matter. If I want to spend the money on insurance, I should be able to get the level of insurance I am willing to pay for. If I don't want insurance, I should not be forced to buy it through the tax system. I would then be responsible for my own health care costs directly if I chose not to pay for insurance. Most of all, I as a taxpayer, should not be forced to buy other people their health insurance and be forced to have the same level health care as everyone else. If I want the best healthcare I should be able to find the best doctor and the best insurance and be rewarded for my investment in the best coverage by recieving the best care. If it isn't as important to me, I should have the choice of not buying coverage or buying low cost coverage to get me by on major medical circumstances.

I repeat! I (nor are other taxpayers) am not liable to pay the cost of other people's healthcare by being forced to pay taxes to cover someone elses unhealthy lifestyle.

Socialized healthcare is NOT the answer. Free market healthcare is the only answer.

Most likely, in the countries that rank 1 - 36, they have uninsured as well. The point is when we try and supply healthcare to everyone, we rank 37th. Of course if we only supplied healthcare to certain people, we could improve our heathcare. But the US is not a selfish country, so we think everyone should be helped when they are sick.

Liberals want the medical wellness coverage and wellness care establishments to alter and be extra equitable for everybody in spite of earnings. the records from the Nineties isn't old and the score is probable decrease 15 years as a result from that learn when you consider that extra individuals are uninsured. 40 5,000 human beings die each and every 12 months with the aid of loss of wellness care. 50 million human beings have no coverage and whether an element of them dont desire to pay for it, maximum of them desire to purchase coverage and get care. what's your reference from the WHO that the learn is slanted?

Why do people think they're entitled to garanteed health care? What ever happened to standing on your own two feet and making your way through life without government handouts? If it isn't one social giveaway program being cried for it's another. Get a grip and be responsible for yourself! Unless you can pay for it, you can't have everything when you want it. You were garanteed the opportunity to prosper under the Bill of Rights. Nowhere does it garantee you'll succeed.

Check the tax rates of countries providing nationalized health care and while you're at it, look at the quality of care. They get what they pay for. I lived in europe for years and had the opportunity to experience their health care pratices in various countries. If you received the same health care that is practiced in many european countries here in the U.S., you people screaming for government handouts would be wanting to sue because you weren't getting the care you think you're entitled to.

The next time you look at a hospital bill, take a look at the "surcharge" and then go ask the hospital administrator what it's for. You'll be happy to know it's your percentage in covering the cost of others who didn't/couldn't pay...E.R. walk-in's. And yes, you can tell the hospital you won't pay the surcharge. Always ask for a detailed, itemized billing statement from a hospital...right down to the paper towles. Make them account for every penney you're being charged for. Why should you subsidize?

A business is in the business to make money. You want to whine about all the mean corporations not giving to you? Why should they? If you work for a company, consider yourself fortunate they gave you a job. What they pay you is ALL they owe you. The rest of your financial whoes belong to you, not who you work for and surely not the general public.

Far too many people in this country have adopted a marxist (welfare is Marxism...look it up), mindset regarding the government having to be responsible for their livelyhood. The W.H.O. was created by the useless United Nations. The U.N. strives to impose it's ideology of a "John Lennon" world.

Liberal democrats can blame themselve's for allowing the public education system to be turned into the wheel of big business. You claim to detest big business, but you created this one. Start writing down a list of whats connected, business wise to public education. You'll need more than a sheet of paper.

Teachers are more concerned about their unions and deflecting responsibility (the reason why Zero Tolerance came about), and gaining tenure by following the P.C. attitude created within it's own system and not holding students accountable. Better for a student to be socially adjusted so they feel good about themselves than to attain a viable education. Ohhh, but wait a minute...it can't possibly be the teachers who are by national registry, 82% democrat who've screwed the pooch.

I already know what grouping of people will be thumbs down on this one, but see if you can't show some courage and post your name and your actual reason of why. Don't hide.

Looks like you've been swallowing a fair amount of propaganda yourself. Number 1 at everything? Since when?! Norway, just as a random example, has a much higher ranking in terms of education, employment, environment, health care, and most other categories that the pinheads on the right can consider.

According to the WHO organization, "The health system also has the responsibility to try to reduce inequalities."

In otherwords, the fact that we don't have socialized medicine problably drops us down quite a few notches.

And you dont think that little tidbit is important WHY ?? LoL !!

The reason healthcare absolutely SUX in this country is because of all the corporate greed and redtape surrounding it...IT IS MADE UNREACHABLE by MANY MANY PEOPLE. It's FAR too expensive.

Other countries get equal jobs done with less money.

THAT is why we're 37th. YOU are the joke.

M. Moore is an idiot and want you to be an idiot as well..
the only difference is that he takes his all the way to the bank....

As an afterthought, please note that everyone in the USA has
medical coverage......whether it be medicare Part A and B, which is paid by the elderly, not cheap....this pays for 80
percent of doctor's office visit and hospital confinement....

then we have medicaid/medical in California. which is
given to all the low income Americans and all illegal immigrants in need......

of course we have private insurance such as Prudential,
Blue Cross/Blue Shield . So everyone in American is
covered one way or another....the USA has a great
Health Care system.....Now Mr. Moore is saying that he
is 1/4 Canadian.....what a liar......
