I live in Bend, Oregon and have lived here all my life. I love what it was, but am sadened by what it has become. Bend is a very outdoorsy place. We are right by the Cascade Mountains, so we have great access to skiing and snowboarding and all around, an awesome landscape. Theres a lot of lakes and rivers around us so there is great camping, and there are tons of trails for hiking and biking and etc. Bend used to be a very small town, many places further east had farms, (Bend is also great because if you go East we are close to places like smith rocks and fort rock, if you have ever heard of them) But most homes were small with large lots and we had a very small town atmosphere. But now, thanks to Donald Trump, we have had thousands of people swarming up here from places like Washington, but mainly, we have had mass amounts of people coming in from Southern California and instead of wanting to keep Bend like Bend, they want to live here but they dont want to give up all the luxeries they came from. So now we are getting massive devolopments and tons of more chain businesses and neighborhood that are crammmed together with massive homes and not a single tree in sight. We even now have two more malls, both of which are outside malls, which is just completely impacticall since our winter are very cold and snowy and icy! Not only that, but our cost of living has risen to the highest in the STATE!! past Portland even! We have Very expensive housing prices, trendy restaurants that cost mucho $$$!! and our gas prices are some of the highest now in the state too! We are now around $3.30 for gas!!! It becoming a major tourist town. I just wish Bend could go back to what it was!!

I live in a place called Dubai, United Arab Emirates. I love it because its a nice place to raise the family. Its very modern, compared to the other Middle Eastern countries. It is centrally located to Asia, Europe and Africa. So great for business. The weather for most part is nice, warn and boring- always sunny. Its got a lot of other positives, like its a major melting pot of a lots of different cultures, religions, and languages. There are people from over 80 countries living here right next to each other, in peach and harmony.
I hate it only because, it ain't home. I still miss Connecticut. A lot!

I live in Northwest Indiana, about 45 minutes from Chicago and I truly hate it. I was born here, but have moved around a lot. Colorado Springs is my favorite city out of all the places I've traveled.
I hate it here because it's filthy, polluted and a disproportionate amount of people around here are flat out racists/bigots. It's ugly and it's backwards. I lived in Colorado for a long time and never imagined I'd end up stuck here again. But my husband's job keeps us here, at least until he retires in 10 years. Sigh...seems like forever.

I live in Irving, TX. I have lived here off and on since I started college in Fall of 1994. I found my spiritual home here. This is where I belong. Plus, it is close to Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, and 2 major airports.

I live in North Carolina, just outside Winston-Salem. I do not love it here, but I am kind of stuck here...at least for now! You never know what tomorrow might bring! I am originally from Huntington, West Virginia and I am rather proud of my little hometown! *sm*

I moved to Napa Valley, CA and I'll never live anywhere else. Great weather, food, wine, culture and events, restaurants, public transportation, good people, low crime, everybody's so laid back. It's a lot better than Iowa!
