The Chicago White Sox. The Cubs are Chicago's (and the nation's) darlings. The Yankees over-shadow the Mets. Those are the two teams from their own cities. All the California teams play in different towns.

I don't think any team gets overshadowed more than the Blue Jays. Unless you've lived in Toronto - or really anywhere in Ontario - it's difficult to understand just how serious people take the Leafs. If you want to start a fight, just start saying how bad they are to a fan from the area.
The Raptors could win the NBA title and the Jays the World Series, but it's the Leafs who would continue to sell out all of their games.

Even though the Angels are hotter than the Dodgers this year, the Dodgers still headline the sports news on local TV. Maybe if the Angels can validate themselves another ten years things might be equal.
Also, the L.A football teams...wait...we don't have one.

Yankees over the Mets. Although i think the Mets are a great franchise, they still have to win a world series (not 1 every 20 years) before they could start talking. New York is the Yankees' town, and that's always how it's gonna be.
