I am old enough to have gone through some times when I experienced things and saw things happen which I thought should not have, and I said to myself, "If I were God, I would handle this differently."
Later, "after all is said & done," as people say, I could look back and see that what I would have done if I had the chance would have been catastrophic. Then I would say,"Boy! It's a good thing that I'm NOT God."
That has taught me that no matter what we may believe, God IS in control. He sees the big picture while we are just seeing a tiny scene.
So, if I had the ability to "play God" for any amount of time, I would say, "No, thanks. I'm not great enough to handle such a job."

I would do with it what God is doing with it. No matter who would play God the human equation comes into play and free will has to be considered in the approach. Now I can say that I would like to end starvation , solve world peace, end crime, give people what they want , cure all sicknesses and diseases etc.but that is why God gave us a heart and a mind and a body to carry out these things and the free will not to if we desire. I would hope in playing God that I would be able to inspire others to do good and to foster all the hopes mentioned above and others but ultimately it will still be left up to us whether these goals will be done or not done for the good of humanity. The greatest gift by God to humanity is freedom for without freedom there is no love and without love , no matter how Almighty God is , humanity must choose to accept or reject to better themselves and others because God gave us the mind, heart and soul to decide between right and wrong and any act of coercion would be to make a mockery of what God out of love gave us and I believe God will never do it because it is against God's nature to change because that would mean God is not Almighty nor perfect in all God's ways.

Well, to be honest... one thing that comes to mind is to fix some people's wagons who've caused me grief! There are a couple of wretches at work who have done me wrong, and I'd like to have the "B" word magically appear above their heads and for one have a flame of fire to come close to them... but not burn them though... but close! I'd bless my best friends to have children of their own and cure them of the illnesses they and their children suffer from. I'd bless those missionaries and other men and women of God who bless the world with the compassion in their hearts and for the spiritual salt within them. I'd have the world's largest rainbow be seen from far, far away. I'd make many of our senior citizens who have ailments and pain to feel 20-30 years younger and not have the pain again. Those who have done violence to innocent people I'd fix it so they could not hurt anyone again... and they would need mercy themselves! I would have the crooks and scammers who defraud people be taken big time themselves... and the monies wrongfully taken would be returned in full. I would put a monumental garden in my boring hometown that would draw people to such beauty.. and then I could photograph like crazy afterwards... and of course I'd have free access always. I'd like to have the noises which fill our environs be ceased for a day to hear the pulse of nature all around us... and marvel. I'd create me a fine woman to be my bride who'd be so beautiful and with such glowing brown sugar skin that I'd have to smile all the time... and endow us with a love that would last a lifetime. Lastly, I'd send love to the hurting and/or lonely souls in the world who do not have someone to call their own... and let love bloom in their hearts one for another. I could go on and on... but I won't! Thanks!

I don't know, I'd be afraid to fix thing for fear of losing balance in the world. I'd probably just sit back and watch. I think that's what happens in the first place.
