if litmus paper is red, it will go blue

if litmus paper is blue, it remains blue

if it is any other colour but blue, it will go bluish

Red litmus paper will turn blue if it's an alkali.
Blue litmus paper stays blue.
You can buy litmus paper at your local pharmacy cheaply(generic brand).

Milk is slightly acidic before it turns into curds(lactic acid)... when litmus test is done, litmus paper turns to Red/Pink..... Lemon juice contains citric acid(pH-2 or 3), and litmus paper here too turns into Red/Pink....

Purple is strong alkali. Blue is weak. Green is ph neautral.
Yellow, orange and red are weak to strong acids
