He is serious, unfortunately. He's a Young Earth creationist, believing in the ancient Hebrew myth of Adam and Eve and trying to justify and defend that belief in a scientific age.

Laughable, isn't it?

Yes, he is being serious. However, I kind of like to get my science reports from people with science credentials, not theological credentials. Have you ever seen "A Brief History of Time", i.e., the movie, where Stephen Hawking's sister says "Theology - where you don't need anything as inconvenient as facts"? I'm with her.

He's a serious as a heart attack.

He's not entirely right about what he's claiming to be real (the Earth is 4.55 billion years old and dinos and humans did NOT coexist)

But he's serious about what he's saying.
