May I consider you're writing from the US? If this is so, then the consideration for your comments must start with the fact that the Founding Fathers of our Constitution were DEEPLY religious, and that even to this day, our Constitution and Amendments are all very traditional. Therefore, multiple marriages, same sex marriages and under-age sex (along with a whole host of other "questionable" acts) are all banned...and for the most part, rightly so.
Unless the person you considered to be involved with had the means by which to support 10 wives, and umpteen children, there is NO way that it would be feasible. The welfare system is not necessarily set up to assist in this sort of lifestyle.
So my advice to you --- if you ARE really serious about this --- would be to find an individual who would be willing to live in a communal environment, but without the legal bonds of matrimony. In other words, have as many girlfriends as he pleased...as long as all of you were willing to live this type of life. The vast majority of the population however has been socially conditioned to consider this behavior abhorrent, so you would most likely be pretty hard pressed to find community partners.

Yes I agree. The law does a great disservice to the meaning of marriage.
If you compare a marriage to a corporation you can see a more true meaning.
Its another example of church and state mixing.Obviously the 9th amendment should protect peoples rights to love more then one person. The wording in the constitutional clause about morals and is bull. How can love be confined to other peoples morals about it.
The result is confusion and STD's spreading rampage among the sexually confused. And a loveless society.

Society looks out for its self and with people breeding without clear track-able bonds it raises the possibility of half siblings breeding which is a major social taboo.
The number one role of society to secure the health and well being of that society.
For you it could be fun, by think two or three generations down.

It is not a viable answer to monogamy...no matter how many are in the relationship, there will always be excuses to find someone new, outside the relationship. And why would your idea be limited to the husband being the only male in the house?

I think the Mormons are the only group allowed to legally do this in the US. Unless you marry a foreigner who has many wives.
But as far a 1 woman with multiple husbands...no dice.
Sorry!

The law does not support polygamy so why get married? You sound unconventional so why bother with traditions.

You just bashed gay people for being gay, and now this? You want several husbands and wives? You are a troll, and a hypocrite, and your answers are just plain mean and ignorant.

As much as I agree, that is just way to open minded and accepting for human to be able to handle.

I don't know what your religious standards are but you should be able to live your life how you want to. You can be in a relationship with who ever you want. Just don't "marry" anyone and it wont be illegal.
