He has had injury issues so far...I don't know what the Bears were thinking in letting Thomas Jones go...

Chicago didn't LET Thomas Jones go anywhere, he CHOSE to sign with the Jets as a free agent. But the bears are like the Broncos in the aspect that they always have an excellent running game so I believe that anybody can have a great career as a running back in Chicago. As long as Benson can stay healthy I believe he will do just fine and probably will become a great running back behind that line.

Personally i think he will but not right away, you see the bears O-Line is really old and they need to get some youth on that line quickly or else benson will be getting his *** pounded and Grossman will be on his *** more than he was last year.

So it all depends on the O-Line my friend i think they got two more good years left in em other than that the bears better draft some tackles next year or they'll be back were they were two years ago with a low ranked offense...right next to the niners...but the niners will probably be up higher this year Gore, Smith, Davis, and Jackson....nuff said.

Benson is not a number 1 running back, never has been, never will be. The bears will regret not paying Thomas Jones. If Benson gets hurt, and you know he will, then what?

Cedric Benson's career has been overrated in my opinion. He had a good career at Texas, but when they played big games he never showed up. He would have big games against weak team. But he would disappear when they would play OU or a bowl game.

Benson is a beast. If he stays healthy he will get 1600 yards and 14 - 18 TD's, especially with the Bears in the weak NFC North.

Well, he will be the leading rusher on the Bears...hehe

Seriously though, he is going to get tons of carries due to Thomas Jones going to the Jets, and his smash mouth style of running means he will be running over a lot of people. If he stays healthy he can definitely make a run (no pun intended) for the rushing crown.

Jones didnt sign with the Jets as a free agent you morons! He was traded for a 2nd round pick.. Anyways, Cedric Benson is going to rush for 2500 yards this year.. I guarantee it!

Yea possibly now that he will get most of the carries instead of having to share with Thomas Jones.
