The bottom line is you want the most productive player of the tw period.

Look at Ichiro's numbers and see if his steal and average is worth more than Hafners rbi's and homeruns. Ichiro is not big in either of those.

If Ichiro isn't stealing a lot then I say trade Hafner for a better and more productive base stealer.

Regression to the mean. A hitter the caliber of Travis Hafner won't hit like this all year. He is standing at 11 homers, i'm pretty confident he will end up hitting around 35. So the question is from here forward are the steals and BA more important than around 25 homers and a tear in avg and rbi's? If they are do it.

Hafner was pound for pound the best hitter in the AL last year. It's pretty tough to get rid of him when your not going to get full value.

Ichiro for Hafner? Definitely go for it. Hafner's going to get you home runs and RBI's that Ichiro cannot. However, Ichiro can steal bases, and score a TON of runs. And, when he git 250 hits a year, he's bound to have quite a few RBI's. Take it.

Don't know what the rest of your team looks like but a trade for Ichiro is always a good one. It looks like you have the power you need and Ichiro will give you speed and average, go do it.

Hafner for Suzuki? Absolutely. You already have enough power in A-Rod, Fielder, and Ordonez. Suzuki will boost your batting average, give you runs, and add a few SBs while he's at it. With those three, you probably need to pick up some SBs anyways.

If someone offered me Ichiro for Haffner I would do it in a heart beat, you lose some power but gain in almost every other category.

You could try it. Man, you must have a good team. I would try doing the trade to get some speed though.
