You will always get good and bad cops, it depends in what context.
The police force are a community in themselves and it only takes a couple of bad apples to tar the majority.
The UK police are a bit of joke.
The US cops with the exception of the Mexican police force must have the worst reputation in the world - with Rodney King, the bashing and whacking of blacks and ethnics all caught on the camera for the world stage.
I suppose in fairness some cops you can trust others you just cant, I had my house keys taken by a member of the Lancashire constabulary, I was unable to get access to my own home, it was ridiculous, an official from the very same police force tried to encourage me to make an official complaint- I just thought no way, cos then next time something goes wrong or happens that'll be remembered and then discrepancies in the service suddenly occur.

They are simply doing their job, which is a rather tough one, if you ask me. Sure, there are a few out there that can be a pain in the ***, but they are no more or less human than the people they protect/arrest.

I always think its funny when people say "******* cops"; its like they are being so unfair!

"I was just trying to drive home drunk while smoking a blunt and changing CDs all at the same time, and the cop pulled me over for swerving into the other lane, and I got busted for possession... what an ***!"

In the words of Jim Carrey: STOP BREAKING THE LAW, ASSHOLE!

some I do, some I don't.
I had 2 cops give me a ride home when I was skipping school.

The only thing I didn't like is when my x step mom would call the cops on my Dad and then go start a fight with him so by time he got good and angry they would show up and make him leave, which wasn't fair, but it finally back fired one day when 2 women cops showed up and could see right threw her.

i saw a cop the other day on the N train letting women thru the gate with his unlimited free card that was paid for by our taxes. i asked him if i could get thru and he denied me. add this lecherous pig to the hundred of other reasons i hate cops. he was giving women free rides with our taxpayer money.

why should any human being in this country have a thievery charge against them when sick public officials like this are the ones handing out the citations?

Yep, in fact I'm married to one. It has been my experience in life(even before I even met my husband and he became a police officer) after dealing with my brothers' "run in's with the law", that people who have a problem with police are generally the ones who have, or have a repeated history of getting in trouble with the law, or are related to someone with such a history. Unfortunately, those who have a problem with the law SOMETIMES encourage their children or other young family members to not respect authority and create a vicious circle. Luckily too, there are people like myself who can see what their family member did was wrong and respect the the job the police have to do.

Police in general, are like everyone else. Some are good, and some are just not "people persons". That is everywhere you go.

Sure I do. The majority of the folks who answered that they don't either have an authority figure problem, or are your average person that likes to 'buck' the system.

You live in a society that has cops and other authority figures....learn to deal with it!

depending if you are a cop or not.......well, yes and no. there is usually a bad cop somewhere, just hopefully you don't run into him....also, cops usually like to ruin the fun..like when your shooting bottlerockets at 12 in the morning and partys that last til' 3......just kiddin....i guess they just want to keep things calm...

I don't. It's all about who you know. If you're not one of the good old boys, they treat you like the worst person in the world. I've known a few who are crooked, and will lie for people who are in their "network"
I really don't trust anybody, but I don't trust cops especially because you're suppose to be able to trust them but they have abused their position in society.

Hell no! The only time I ever called 911 was because a girl was getting beaten by her bf... the cops just asked the guy if he did it, told the girl to shut up when she was crying, chatted with the guy about him playing college football and their chances this season, then searched my room, found nothing and left. A friend of mine was raped by a cop who planted a drop bag on her and told her she'd either suck it or go to jail.

Pigs are no-good dirty scum-sucking power-hungry guard dogs who'll hump your leg with fervor anytime a camera's not looking. Is it any wonder that so many die at the side of the road while writing tickets? It's so easy just to turn that wheel and swerve... then keep on driving.

This isn't just a case of "if you don't break the law, you don't have anything to hide". If that were true, how come cops always try to steal your camera when you film them in public beating a black guy? How come they drive around in tinted windows, pulling people over for having tinted windows? How come they claim shooting a police dog that's chewing on you is murder, but they can shoot your dog if it so much as yips at them and wags its tail when they kick your door down? **** the double standard... if you're a good cop, fine... good for you. But if you're a bad cop, If I see you pull out a drop bag or if you even lie on a speeding ticket, I'm remembering that name and badge number and I'M TAKING YOU OUT!
