I think MLB hasn't ready to put the major team outside the America this decade. This organization will prepare to extension more teams in the league. Currently they has 30 teams. Its might be in 2020's or 2030's.

Now more people in Alaska watch the Midnight Sun Game which hosted for more than 100 years there.

A great idea but alas, not worth happening. To play in Alaska, you have to deal with the numerous medical exams and vaccinations. Hawaii has a problem with the islands being separate and with the volcanoes. Hawaii would be used for any teams to play a couple of regular games there or host at least one All-Star Game like the NFL does the past 20+ years and the NBA with Las Vegas for 2007. Alask and Hawaii will have to deal with just watching the games online or on TV.

It will never happen. Alaska does not have enough population to support a major league team (hell, Florida doesn't either!). Weather would also be a problem (presumably they would play in a domed stadium, but it would be difficult to get to games due to the weather). Finally, players already complain about having to travel to the Pacific Northwest to play the Mariners in Seattle. Do you really think Alaska is a viable destination to travel to for a three-game series? I don't.

Anything is possible but I would really have to question if a team located anywhere in Alaska could generate enough fan support from the area to justify a franchise.

There's simply not enough population in Alaska to validate having a team there. The travel would also be a huge problem. I think we'd sooner have a team in Mexico.

Probably not.

Whenever teams went to play them, think of how much stress it would cause. Teams would have to fly out to Alaska, only to play a game hours later. And it's so cold (so they would probably have a domed stadium), but would people really want to come out to the ballpark in freezing temperatures?

I'd love it. The Anchorage Earthquakes--I might have a decent team to root for.

1. Not enough population to support it.
2. Weather will be an issue.
3. Travel is an issue...go from Miami to Anchorage, not too pretty!

That would be the stupidest thing MLB could ever do?

Well, giving Barry Bonds a ticker tape parade would be the stupidest thing MLB could ever do...but that is the second stupidest think MLB could ever do.

Sorry but no. There would have to be a dome to play in plus the population to support ticket sales.
