I'm not a Jackson fan but, it seems he has been casting a shadow over the industry with his presence.
In the fourth quarter of 2007, Jackson is expected to release a comeback album. There have been reports of collaborations with will.i.am (of The Black Eyed Peas), Teddy Riley, DJ Whoo Kid, Akon,Chris Brown and 50 Cent.
Initially, it was thought that the Bahrain-based label Two Seas would release the album, but, in September 2006, it was made apparent that Jackson and Two Seas were no longer affiliated with each other. Consequently, Jackson formed The Michael Jackson Company which will oversee both his finances and the release of his new album. There may also be plans for a world tour to support the album. This would be his first tour since 1997. Work began on the album in May of 2006.

The industry is starting to become bullsh*t. Especially black music nowadays. Nobody is being original. All the songs on the radio sound the same. The only ones that I think are good in music today are Prince, Chris Brown, Ciara (and even most of her sh*t sounds the same too. She's a hell of a dancer tho), Janet Jackson (and even she's starting to fall off a little), and Beyonce' (I get tired of hearing her and there's a lot of songs I don't like by her, but I have to give her props. She's extremely talented and is different from the bunch). There aren't really any more artists of today that I like, or even listen to. I listen to stuff from the 70's, 80's, and 90's (mostly 70's and 80's stuff though). People look at me strange cuz I'm 17 but I know every word to "Ball Of Confusion" by the Temptations. I can sing an Isley Brothers song better than Ron Isley himself. The black music industry is becoming really pathetic now. I hope Michael's new cd isn't as pathetic as the rest of this sh*t that's out now.
Michael betta bring it! I know that much. If he can match the success of "Dangerous", then he's provin' muthaf*ckas wrong.
So yeah, since he's been gone, sh*t's been a little stale. When he gets back, we'll see if he comes correct.
I pray that he does.
I can't wait!

If the music world is relying on an alleged child molester, self worshiping all round unstable loonatic, and in recent times, lets face it, a very average songwriter to spread light then it is some very very very serious trouble. As far as I'm concerned he should use the advice he gives in one of his songs, "Beat It", Mr Jackson and don't come back!!

All the enlightenment that Michael's career brought to the music industry was overshadowed by his personal problems, therefore, all his mystique & esteem perished in the process & his music became less of the focus & the greatness of his art has not been captured since....

Your right...maybe he should get back into it. He has so much time now leaving him to fondle and scare little boys. Not to mention abuse his own children.
He needs either a life sentence or a job where people can throw things at him. I know! Golf ball collector on a driving range!

He hasn't had a decent album since "Thriller", so his absence isn't that traumatic.
