Oh just get over it already. It has already taken root here so you're too late for that. It's growing in popularity here in the US and even Canada. Saying "it is a pointless, boring children's game that nobody watches" shows just how extremely ignorant you really are. I'd like to ban and boycott you for acting like an idiot here. I think this should tell you that it's time for you to leave this category if you don't like the sport, which just so happens to be the best and the most popular sport in the world.

Well, baseball would have to come up with a serious steroids policy, horrible football owners like the Yorks would have to be forced to sell their teams to good owners, he's single-handedly on the verge of making my current worldwide favorite team the 49ers second to AC Milan, the NBA would have to change their game so that players who know actually know how to shoot dominate, and the NHL would have to promise never again to cancel a entire season just because the players/owners can't fight over their millions during the offseason.
In other words, expect an interest in soccer to grow here in the US.

force all pro soccer players to play one quarter with any pro football team
when one of these guys can get slammed by the likes of Troy Polamalu and Larry Foote then i'll have some respect
edit: maybe 4 day work week europeans have the time to watch hours of 0-1 soccer games but we americans like sport! if i wanted to see guys run around for hours without accomplishing something i'd watch a marathon, atleast then i wouldn't have to hear someone shouting ggggggggoooooooooaaaaaaaaa *shouldn't they pass out now?* aaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllll!

Considering it's the most watched sport in the world and will soon take over in North America, you will be flogging a dead horse if you try to take any steps. Join the rest of the world and enjoy one of the best games there is.

Nothing needs to be done....look at the number of kids who PLAY soccer but have never gone to a PROFESSIONAL game...... Besides... Tom Cruise wants to buy the LA team, that in and of itself will make sure it never takes root in the US.

Well, we could nuke the entire continent. That is the only option we have, because soccer is coming. Dick's Sporting Good says so!

I dislike soccer, but i wouldn't go as far as to say that...it's boring, but, hey, obviously some people like it. I'm more of a basketball man, myself.

Well your generation doesn't have to like it anyway. Wouldn't want to see you win anything reasonable. But its comforting your children appreciate pure class.
