Bean bag toss is always good and you can use cans, pots or bowls for the targets.
Hot potato, with a raw potato, each child taking a step back (each throw) until they miss. For hot days, watyer ballons instead of potatos.
Yard golf, get a few plastic golf club sets. ( my dad dug holes and put in tin cans for the golf holes but you can have a target area instead of holes they might get hurt stepping in.)
Badmitton is good on non windy days.
Crocket is always fun but can be costly to purchase.
Plastic horseshoes is fun.
Bubbles are great at any time.
My favorite (depending on yhe yard size) is to have each child find something in nature and then talk about what they found. This opens thier minds and heps teach them different things about nature itself.
You could also do leaf tracings. All it takes is leaves, paper and crayons.
Good luck and have loads of fun!!

The best games are team games. You pair up with the smallest, the 8 yr. old. You two against the other two.
Then you can play dodge ball, team hide-and-seak, baseball, keep away, volley ball. Use your imagination.

Badmitten is an awsome game. we play all the time, it is alittle hard to get at first, but that is fun too. You cant just have fun looking stupid, or not hitting the birdy(it is actually called a shuttlecock). Have fun!

Sprinklers are life savors....anything dealing with water is usually a pretty good bet. Water guns, water balloon toss, water balloon fights. Good Luck!

Does it really matter??? as long as you take them outside for fresh air and exercise. That is the key, they usually will entertain themselves with proper supervision. anything ..anything other than the television or video games
