popcorn and sodas?

$8.00 - tickets for 2 & $11.00 for a mega-combo popcorn & drinks...so just under $20. We live in a small town so it's pretty cheap...but it is an old single screen theater. No choices on what to watch 'til the next week...unless it's held over for a week or two...Then we're in real trouble! lol ;o)
What's it like in Houston? I bet it's outragious!

Depends on where it is. The theater is usually between 8 and 10 dollars for a ticket and the refreshments are outrageously priced. Like 5 dollars for a large soda. A drive in is much much cheaper. We also have a small theater in the next town over and thats fairly cheap also. But they usually show G or PG movies. Every now and then they'll have a PG 13 or an R but not often. They did have Pirates of the Carribean 3 recently but I didnt go. Their tickets are only 5 dollars, 3 or 4 dollars for matinee, and refreshments are reasonably priced.

Same as Saturday and Sunday evenings. I pay like $8.50 a ticket. and I don't buy the popcorn or sodas. I sneak food in my purse.

There is no theater here.... but we can rent a couple of movies and get some soda and popcorn......

$7 for a med. popcorn

Our theatres are outrageous.

Getting more expensive everytime I go, now it would be about 35$ or so.
