I currently live in my native state of Kentucky and can't wait to leave!!! I've considered moving to other states (AL, GA, OK, WY, CO, WA, TN, NC, etc.,) but I've been in love with Texas since age 15 and my heart always keeps leading me back there.

I like the people, scenery, cost of living, and strong Texas pride.

To locals that can advise: I'm open to pretty much anyplace in Bexar Co. However, it is my understanding that anywhere south of I-10, as well as west of Gen. McMullen Dr. (all inside I-410) are high crime areas to avoid.

Give me your unadulterated opinions of SA: Love or hate it, and why? Thanks!

I'm also considering Ft. Worth and Houston.

I live here, and I love it. Very friendly city, with lots to see and do.

I would advise the Northwest area....nice homes, not too expensive, a lot less crime, and lots of shopping, dining, recreational and other amenities nearby.

STAY AWAY FROM THE EAST SIDE AND THE WEST SIDE!

The South Side (where I live) is okay in spots, but you have to be careful. If you look here, go toward the Toyota plant or further....since they built the plant, property values have risen and new neighbrohoods are cropping up.

Good luck! = )

When I went to San Antonio, Tx I was in 4th Grade I went on a Class Field Trip because i live in fort worth and the place was filled with so much Beauty and it was so clean that i had thought that the world was full of so much peace.the buildings were clean the people there were nice and there are so many sites to see like the Alamo and the Ripley's Wax Museum etc. the only thing is that the sun is so bright and hot that some people even care fans with them.

also Austin, Tx is close buy so in two whole days you can see it all.

Hope you love it because I did!!!

Bleh! That's what I think. I came from a rather small town though and it was COMPLETE culture shock to move to Texas. It truly is it's own country and the people are definately different. I will take nice, welcoming people any day over people that live in Texas...

I live in Houston and have visited San Antonio alot over the years. It's a great town (city) the cost of living is fairly low, it's beautyful, there is lots to do. I think you should go for it.

Houston, is OK. I have been here 18 years now. You never lack for anything to do here. Crime is like any other big city.
The biggest problem with this place is the Horrible humidity.

I visit San Antonio quite a bit and it is a nice city. Good people, good nightlife. (Austin's better.)
