I purchased a Ninja 250 this year, and will most likely be selling it next year to get a larger bike. I've heard that this model tends to resell very well. Anyone have any extimates on what I might get?

The Ninja 250 is consistently rated as one of the best beginner bikes around. It can handle the highway, but it will be tossed a bit, as will any other bike. I wouldn't recommend riding on the highway any time soon; you need to get a strong feel for the bike before you try the highway. Another option would be the slightly larger Ninja 500R (older models are called the EX500). Still a good beginner bike, but a little more substantial. Try a few different bikes and see what feels comfortable. Fell will be among the most important factors. You need to feel comfortable and secure on a bike. Good luck!

I'll assume you paid the dealer about 3600.

As long as your bike didn't get dropped, crashed, or whatevered, you can sell for 2500-3000.

Not a really bad hit in the price department. A bit of a shame to have bought your learner bike new, though.

Almost nothing. I sell Kawasakis and the ex250 is a throw away bike because they are over reved and under cared for. take what the trade in value is and run with it. Now the ex500 is a resaleable bike.
