and don't tell me that the rest of the world is just jealous. There has to be a reason behind this.
P.S. I don't hate Americans. I respect each and every culture in the world. However I do hate the American administration.

I am an Iraqi who lives in Jordan and my family has suffered greatly from Saddam Hussein's reign. However I can't help but feel that Bush is a big idiot who can't handle the situation in Iraq and I beleive that the U.S. administration opnly care about itself and not the Iraqis who r getting killed everyday. I also beleive that The U.S. administration is the reason y Al Qaeda went to Iraq in the first place. They were very honest when they said " we want to fight terrorism in Iraq! well even if Saddam was treating us badly Americans didn't some to Iraq because of that because they thought he was some how infilliated with Usama bin ladin so they really dont care what happens to Iraqis!

even if Iraq was in a bad situation, the U.S. administration has made it far more worse and now Iraqi civilians are paying the toll of Bush's stupidity.

We have ruined economies, people's lives and are responsible for deaths in many countries. We topple countries trying to implement democracy and replace it with a non-democratic government that is often brutal.
They don't hate Americans. They hate our foreign policy and the people behind it, which is the cause of all this.
Edit: A recent example.
We took away the attempts of the Iraqi government trying to have democracy. Then we supported Saddam Hussein even during his massacres. We turned against Saddam Hussein only because he failed to follow an order. He invaded Kuwait, which lost him the support of the U.S. and lead to his death.

You say that your family suffered greatly under Saddam Hussein and you live in Jordan I would guess because you had to get away from Hussein. You don't have to be afraid of Hussein any more so why don't you go back home and help turn things around so that George Bush and all those hated American troops could go home. If the Americans did leave then Iran would move right in and take over then you would be right back to square one the only difference would be that you couldn't come on the Internet and say how much you hated the new occupiers and we wouldn't know about your problems and every one would be happy.

Wow the rest of the world really hates the US? Is that why we have 12 million plus people who are in this country illegally from many different countries. If they are caught they could be sent home and still they come. We have I don't know how many million people living in the US with green cards waiting to become US citizens. Do they hate us.
I only use the word HATE for certain people. TERRORISTS, serial killers, pedophiles, wife beaters, child molesters, and drig pushers. Oh and I forgot Kim Jong Ill. I don't like the current North Korean Adminsitration but I don't hate them.
Our administrations only last a maximum of 8 years. Why would you hate something you know isn't permemant?

Some may, for various reasons either merited or not. Most don't.
I think the term "hate" is rather strong. The majority of people don't go around blindly hating things. Don't believe what you see on the BBC or from CNN reports of protests around the globe. You see a group of 2000 people protesting America and spouting hatred, but they fail to put it in the context of it occurring in a country with a population of several million. Then they imply that that's how the whole country feels. I don't buy it. I bet there are millions of people around the world that owe their very lives to Americans via our charity or our military. The trouble is, that doesn't make good news or proliferate a particular agenda.

To say that the whole world hates America is an over generalisation. Are there people in the world that hate the US? Yes, and there will always be people that hate the US. Not everyone that hates has a rational reason for doing so. Would there ever be a time that the US is loved by all? No, that would be as unrealistic as saying that everyone hates the US.

Well, if we get too involved in the rest of the world, some people criticize that we are "taking over."
If we aren't involved enough, then some people criticize that we don't care about the rest of the world.
Even though we give billions in monetary support and resources to developing nations, or countries where there is a natural disaster, it is not good enough.
No matter what we do, we can't please everyone, nor should we. We are a sovereign nation, and our own survival and prosperity should come first. Granted, we should not achieve that at the expense of anyone else.

Believe what you want to believe, but the rest of the world doesn't hate us.
Yes there are individuals in the World that hate us. There are Governments that hate us. But the majority of people would trade places with any one of us, on any day. Your conclusion is wrong. Go to Africa, Go to Central and South America. Macedonia, Serbia and Haiti, and ask those people. Why are the lines to get in this country all backed up, because People want to live the " American Dream"
Edit: I will also add, that as much as we Americans want your country to be Free, your Citizens have to want it more. We paid for our Freedoms in Blood and Sacrifice. Now if Freedom is worth having you will be willing to do the same.

They don't.
It is kind of funny, we don't really follow the news of any other country, but it seems like the rest of the world is intently following what is going on in America everyday.
In fact, most Americans can't even name the leaders of other nations. We simply don't care.

The media in America report that people from other countries are beginning to hate Americans. Unfortunately much of the reporting of late is politically motivated and designed to favor a particular political party. Personally, I don't believe that people from other countries hate us. I think that, as you say, they hate our current administration. I will caution you however, to not believe everything you read about us, as your media is just as guilty as ours of bending the truth.

I really don't care what the rest of the world thinks about the US, to tell the truth.
And everybody else in the world feels the same way - nobody considers the world's opinion of their own country to be worth anything.
Because it isn't.
