Getting your period after a surgery?

3 weeks ago I had an appendectomy by laproscopy, my period normally comes on the 17th, but is has not reared it's ugly head yet, is that normal for a period to be delayed after a surgery??

Yeah. Your body needs to recover from the surgery so it could be delayed or your period might not happen at this time.

i do not know if it is normal to have dellayed periods, but if you have slept in a bed with a friend, eaten something you dont normally eat, hit menopause, or pregnant than that is why.
