Here is the formula for that you will never get virus in your whole life........................
1: Don't use ADMINISTRATOR.....
2: Make an USER account FROM the Adminstrator.......suppose it's " ABC"
3: Now make another User accont by going to :ABC".......suppose this time you given the name........."CDF"
....................use the CDF account to access everything............ it has a very very limited perivileges then not only the Administrator....but also from the SECOND user acconut....................
.................any virus can not come into your computer............

I highly recommend Mozilla Firefox for web browsing, its speedy and block all pop-ups, if not google has a good pop-up blocker. As for virus's and spyware, Norton Anti-Virus may have a free trial, Ad-Adware is free, Spybot: Search and Destroy is also free, most of these can be found at the home page of http://download.com

You can use, Google or Yahoo tool bar to take care of pop-ups. For virus protection, use AVG Free, from Grisoft.com. To rid your computer of adware, use Ad-aware SE. All free.
