I had the Windows XP Home disc so I put a fresh copy of the OS on there. I do not have the discs that would have come with this laptop originally so therefore, I need to get all the drivers and such before I can do basically anything on it. I can't get online to DL the items I need from Dell.com so does anyone have the Dell 6000 discs and would be willing to "loan" them out for a few days or can I get them somewhere else whether it be from Dell or a Third party?

HELP PLEASE! Thank you, Hoss

Easiest thing would be to use a friends computer and download the at least the network drivers to CD or a USB memory stick. After that, you should be able to connect and get the rest (sound, video, etc...).

What you really need is the network controller drivers then you can get the rest all yourself. I'd suggest going over a friends or somewhere that you can load them onto a flash drive and take home with you.

well you fubar'd that.
it had a restore partition on the hard drive, but when you reinstalled windows from the wrong disk you messed it up.

go to dell.com and search for your lappy drivers.
