sometimes people are just strange
they just believe what they see with their own eyes.
To the extend: A persons reality happens to be in every person itself, so my reality is a different than yours, cause we both tend to interpret things different based on experience.
People who usually look into the night sky do not see structures like in the photo with their own eyes. So its a matter of believe.
This photo higly suggest to have some sort of manipulation in it for the unexperienced observer, cause people have seen hundreds of photos before where light is reflecting from a bright spot on a photo like that.
So the first impression is: UH a lens effect .. its crap
Less people have ever seen a photo of Eta Carinae, which is possibly the same scenario going on with a star but shot from a different viewing angle.
in these days its just normal to reprocess images, but for the sake of being authentic, people explain what has been used on processing the original data. So its possible to have some evidence about wether its authentic or not.
having already ranted about peoples inner self and their unwillingness or lazyness to step back for seeing the whole thing, i can just point out that the internet or any other form of mass media especially in the US leads to some side-effects which already starts being problematic.
as an example: "did we land on the moon ?"
this makes me sick and i could rant about this phenomena for hours but this question wasn't really intended to do so, i think
so finally thank you for pointing us to this great picture, i think i gonna browse the web for some serious (i hope) science along with that.

No, it does not constitute fakery at all. Using filters certainly doesn't constitute faking a picture, because all that does is highlight something that is already there. Does making a black and white picture constitute faking because it's restricted to luminance?
Computer processing to enhance images is not faking either. However, care must be taken because the processing can introduce artifacts (things like 'suncruisers' and artificial structures on the Moon are usually no more than artifacts caused by the image gathering technique or processing). The people who use the techniques to produce the pictures are aware of the limitations of the techniques, however.
In terms of using the images to derive scientific conclusions requires knowledge of the methods and their limitations. As far as the average joe is concerned, who cares as long as the pictures looks nice and is a reasonable representation of reality?

in my opinion, she ought to under no circumstances have been in that place interior the 1st place- all she does is undertake young little ones, it particularly is advantageous, yet that doesn't recommend she's doing any good. the occasion she's placing for those young little ones is horable, and prefer the letter suggested, she's no longer credible, and he or she's very ignorant and packed with herself. i'm no longer shocked at her modern-day act of idiocy, and that i'm shocked she's nonetheless around adequate to make those stupid alternatives and embarrass herself. if she develop into certainly clever, she'd bypass away for a mutually as and end attempting to be mrs. super action picture star, because of the fact i think of people are ill of her. being a Goodwill Ambassador does not make you a competent individual, and it does not recommend she ought to have that place nonetheless- i think of her call as Ambassador desires to be re-evaluated, and probable taken away Celebrities should not be in government...user-friendly as that

People love conspiracy "theories". In this day and age it is easy to produce fake photos, but that doesn't make all space photos fake.
I know several people too who believe the moon landing was faked. But, I can't explain why they believe that. The only reason I can "think" of is that they are "believing" something and not "thinking".
