It is fine for a pregnant woman to have say one soda a day, but excess caffine has been known to cause problems when the baby gets older. It has been linked to ADD and hyperactivity. You should limit yourself to one can of soda a day. Try to avoid it if possible but if it is one of your cravings, use it in moderation. Good Luck. :-)

I think it can raise their heartbeat dangerously, but I'm not sure. Also, I think they can get used to receiving it in the womb and once they're out, they basically go cold turkey and have side-effects.

But don't quote me on this. I don't drink or eat anything with caffeine because it has a very negative effect on me.

I think if you have over 8oz of caffeine every single day. Too much caffeine can lead to a miscarriage. Better just to stay away from anything with caffeine in it during pregnancy.

Just as caffine is not good for you and it can hype you up and make you jumpy and keep you awake, it does the same thing to you fetus. But keep in mind how little that baby is inside of you. As small as that baby is, when he gets that caffine its like getting a couple cups of coffee to him all at once. Please watch what you drink and try to limit the amount of caffine you drink while you are pregnant. I myself don't consume any caffine but my dr. told me that it would be alright to have 1 soft drink a day. But I would not have more than that. And i definitly would not drnk anything stonger than a soft drink. Good Luck!

No, I don't think anyone knows, but it can't be good. I didn't go cold turkey, but I did drink fewer things with caffeine.
