The Patriots can be considered for the next 3-5 years as the team to beat. Great coaching, great leadership (Brady) and a phenominal front office. If I could play in the NFL there would be no other place to be except NE.....well...MAYBE PItt. Great ownership there too. However, they demand perfection AND class from their players and they make sure no one person is put above any others. That TEAM mentality is tough to beat. You can have avg. players on a team, but if they are all on the same page and work together, they are a very scary force to deal with. I would say NE has another 3-5 as a dominant force....I hope longer. Not too many CLASSY teams and owners out there like the Patriots.
and I'm not even from the east coast.

a lot of you are saying that Pats wont win because of the tough conference, but honestly, you could make that argument for any of those teams in the AFC, and someone has to win it all, why not the Pats. They are by far the best team on paper with all the acquisitions made this off season, and Belicheck will be able to make it work.
I would say they are like the Spurs of the NFL. They just seem like this no nonsense team that has consistently been one of the teams to beat year in and year out since about 2000 I believe. There is no reason not to doubt them, and for all the people that say they can't just because of the Ravens, or the Broncos, or whomever, maybe you should support that argument with a good reason why, because frankly I don't know what those teams have done is the last couple years.

Yes
They were contenders last year and they filled all of their holes.
They needed a reciever-Picked up Moss in an ingenious move, got Stallworth a fast guy, and they have the tight end Welker
Brady has all these new toys and expect him to have a great year.
Also they beefed up their D
Adalius Thomas will pick up a bunch of sacks and stop the run.
Merriwether brings some depth to the safety position and Harrison is geting old and its almost a sure thing that he gets injured in the season.

The Patriots are a great team. And I know everyone is super excited about them having Randy Moss, but lets just see how it goes. Randy Moss is not known for his team spirit or class and he may become a cancer that eats them from within. What will happen when he feels he's not getting the ball enough? And he always feels like he's not getting the ball enough. I'm sure they'll make the playoffs, but I think people are giving them to much credit for the season not having started yet. The AFC is really tough! I doubt they make it through the playoffs.

On paper the Pats made alot of improvements in the draft and the off-season. In the meantime, the Colts have lost some key players. That being said, you have to give the Pats a great shot at getting to the superbowl. Of course, the big thing in football is injuries....look at the Steelers ..... The other big question mark is Moss.....is he for real or is he a team killer.........time will tell........Look for the Chargers to be there in the end........

No because they can be beaten like every other team. Anyone who says they will are stupid because there not gonna win every single super bowl. Other teams have done the same things as them years before but i bet everybody didn't think they were invincible. Patriots are so overrated. So many people think that it will be Saints and Pats but whos to say the Saints will even do as good. So i don't even think they will make it there.

Yes...They had the best off season...They got 4 WRs, 2 of which are gonna make Brady's stats the same as Peyton's(Moss and Stallworth)...and a TE...They have the best head coach and QB in the NFL in Belichick and Brady...They also made a monster move for the defense in getting Adalius Thomas, not to mention drafting Brandon Merriwether...

Yes because the team is loaded with great talent. First of they have Tom Brady as their quarterback. Then they have a very deep offense. Randy Moss will have a great season I think. He won't be a distraction because he is happy with the team he is at. The only thing that could hurt them is their defense but they have that under control as well.

Nope. I say this because they basically have a 6-1 shot... One of these 6 teams will be there from the AFC, so picking just one is an absolute crap-shoot:
Pats
Chargers
Steelers
Broncos
Colts
Ravens

Nope. The AFC is just too tough. They have a good chance, but there's just too much great competition out of the AFC. The Colts, Ravens, Broncos, Bengals, Steelers, Jags, Chargers, etc could all rise up and have great years.
