Southern Grits is correct, at the same time that Jimmy Carter was gutting the CIA (set up the whole situation we are currently facing in the middle east), he also passed into law a bill making illegal political assassination. Prior to that, the U.S. for a number of years had tried to murder Fidel Castro (namely J F Kennedy) using everything from exploding and poisoned cigars to ink pens. Not that I'm at all a fan of Carter's (read any of my prior postings and you'll quickly see this to be true), but imagine how torqued you'd be if a foreign power came here and took out our political leaders. This is also why we did not just take Manuel Noriega out back and shoot him once we'd captured him in Panama.

So, you're volunteering to be an assassin? Brave words indeed.

War IS putting a gun the the head of the leaders of a Country. That's what war is meant to be.

Well, Binky, it's like this ya see: The liberal bedwetters are totally against assassinations - they would rather that we go to war. Now, they say the opposite, but their policy of handcuffing the evil, hated CIA has resulted in the opposite of what they say (and believe) they want. As usual. The weak sisters of the left couldn't get out of their own way if you offered to drive over and show them how to do it. No, they'd go off on you for having the temerity to drive a car. And so forth and so on.

You must be a candidate for the U.S. State Dept..? .... assassinations only inflame hatred of the U.S. even more and make war *more* likely, not less.
