this is the real story according to Bible, and Quran: Satan (the evil) knew that the heart of woman is more easier to win, he knew very well Adam was a hard headed man who never would do anything against God's will, Satan thought of Eve, and he was sure that Eve is the only one who can change the heart of adam by penetrating in it in the seductive power which god has given her... (the way woman can soften the heart of men in taking decisions)
he approached Eve in the shape of an snake, he told her, ur God who has kept u here in this garden and told u not the eat this apple, because its the knowlede fruit and when u eat it, u ll recieve the knowledge of god, after trying this u ll come to know what god has mentioned for you, imagine, just a bite and you will become as wise as God himself. so Eve told the same things to Adam, and he believed in her. she changed his heart, they ate the apple and at the same moment they came to know about the diffrences of their bodies and they covered themselves because of feeling shy, this was the moment they lost the eligibilty to stay in heavens anymore, because they fell down from being in the rank of angels to human beings.God told them this is the day i had warned u of... now go on the earth, u Adam, and ur descendants will have to work hard, to survive, and u ll have the final day when u ll die and u ll be able to come back to heaven only if u pass my judgment, and u Eve, u and ur descendants will be punished by having the labour pain, and be included as weaker to men, take care of them and their chidren... and it goes on and on and on...

Eve was not punished, if you read Genesis correctly. Man was ordered to leave the Garden and she CHOSE to go with him. (Genesis 1: 24 very specifically says the MAN was driven out of the Garden.) She was never told by God not to partake of the fruit--she wasn't even in existence when Adam was told(Gen 1:17)--but God was probably disappointed she listened to the serpent instead of her husband's warning. It's people's interpretation of the Bible that says she's to blame.
And men have, ever since, disobeyed and then blamed it on women.

I hate this too. Basically because Satan easily convinced Eve to eat the fruit it had to mean she was weak-minded and easily influenced. She then used her feminine wiles to seduce Adam into eating the fruit. Adam could not be blamed because Eve had a power over him and was not responsible for his actions. If anything Adam was at fault for not being stronger and more obedient to god. I can admit that is generally the guys fault most times. Can you ever forgive me?

Actually they were both punished by being thrown out of the garden. Women pain in childbirth. Men have to work the land hard etc. We all paid the consequences because both ate it.
