No listeners = no support = no ad dollars = failure in the market place.

No one listened. Their talk show hosts were not very engaging and interesting. That's why Democrats want to try to pass legislation to force radio stations to have liberal radio shows on for the same amount of time as they have conservative shows. The liberal shows can't survive in the free market because they have failed to put intelligent liberals on the air who actually may have something interesting to say.

The lack of quality that pushed Air America into bankruptcy is also hitting the newspapers hard as well. People got tired of paying for poorly written, biased news so they stopped subscribing.

It was Bad real Bad.
No one wanted to hear that bull. We get more than our share of it from CBS NBC ABC PPS and MSNBC as well 95% of the papers. Talk radio is just a few voices in a loud yell of the left. But sadly it will soon be gone. Freedom of the air waves will be crushed. Hillery and Pelosi are planning to keep any other voices quite as soon as she gets in. In truth all the politicians in DC want it. Soon All the freedoms will be gone,

Vote all incumbents out.

Not a clue, but it might make for an interesting show on PBS. I think its kind of funny that conservatives are so concerned with TV and radio though, because the Internet is now more important.

A good example of market forces. They did not have enough listeners to attract the kind of advertising to make the effort profitable.

In short, no one was listening.

Poor management, they are under new ownership and management and out of bankruptcy, still on the air all the across the country.

Edit: Also, they have changed their lineup and relaunched, you should check it out.

Noone wanted to listen to them so they could not sell air time to advertisers.

Pretty basic business stuff, really.

If you ever listened to them you heard the most vile, hate filled and inaccurate speech on radio. They could have taught Rush Limbaugh a few things.

Liberals are more interested in magazines, newspapers, books, and PBS, then some mindless radio talking head.
