I dont know if he acted alone, but I do believe heavily that the therory of a conspiracy is much higher then most people realize.
A few years ago i happen to be out in Touscan Arizona and there is a airplane museum there and the last prop driven air fore one is there.
While i was taking a tour, the guide went into the assasination and pointed out something that got my attention.
When Kennedy went to Dallas, they took the prop plane. However the new Jet Air Force One was being readied to send to dallas to replace it and would be the transport for the rest of the trip.
When Kennedy was killed Johnson was waiting on the new Air Force One to go to Dallas.
Very odd that he would be waiting as if he knew.
ok all that sounds like coincidence,,, untill i started looking at the politics of the time.

nuclear missiles on Cuba 90 miles off the Florida Coast. The Joint Chiefs see this as a chance to redeem themselves from the disaster the year before. Kennedy however is not a military president and refuses to go along with their plans.
1962-63: Vietnam: Vietnam is heating up. Joint Chiefs want to send troops there to support the crisis. Kennedy refuses again to send troops. However this time there is someone who does love the military and will help the Joint Chiefs if he's president.
Nov 22nd: Kennedy is killed and Johnson (a yes sir man) takes presidency and soon troops are sent to Vietnam under the control of the Joint Chiefs, the President, and at least two other men (badely lead war).

Jack Ruby and Lee Harvey Oswald: Who these two men are is just a guess.
I would probably say that the Joint Chiefs and Johnson needed someone that was a no body. Someone that could get the job done, and hopefully dissapear. A foriegner was perfect.
They contract Oswald to kill Kennedy (and maybe someone else helped), but he got careless after the assasination.
I think the conspiracy also included the CIA.
When Oswald is arrested, the CIA, the Joint Chiefs, and Johnson realize they have a serious problem. He knows who gave him the orders. He can point the finger right at the white house. So he must be silenced before he can
In steps Jack Ruby.
anyway it might all be hogwash
but it all makes sense.

Vincent Bugliosi the guy that prosecuted Charles Manson and wrote "Helter Skelter" just released a 960+ page book debunking the conspiracy theories of the last 40+years, I haven't read it yet, I just read excerpts from the paper.

I was a senior in high school on November 22, 1963, and in Dallas that day and along the parade route that day, although not down at the plaza. My cousin and I were more in mid-downtown. There were people hanging out of upper story windows all along the route and throngs of people on the sidewalks. Kennedy could have been shot at a thousand other spots along that parade route. Because that event is so much a part of my personal history, I've given the conspiracy theory a lot of thought in the passing years. In the early years after I believed in the conspiracy theory basing alot of that on the fact that perhaps Oswald was the last chance option and that others had perhaps missed an opportunity back up the parade route. But as it has played in my mind more in these more distant years I'm not so sure. Kennedy would have been an easier target back up where my cousin and I were but the collateral damage would have been more extensive and it would have been harder for a shooter to escape because of all the mass of people. The plaza site was at the end of the parade route and had quicker access to escape routes. Whether there was another gunman in kahoots with Oswald at that site I cannot say. But I think likely it was just Oswald. Was he pursuaded by others to do the shooting? I think that IS quite likely. Did he have a connection with Ruby or Ruby with the mastermind? I also think that is quite likely. Was Johnson involved? I tend to think not. But I think perhaps some people perceived Johnson to be someone they could perhaps "work" with better and perhaps decided to remove an obsticle. Texans in general didn't trust Kennedy and Lyndon was pretty high profile in the state. But we will never know the truth.
BTW, my cousin and I were also down at the courthouse when Ruby was shot (like tons of other curious teenagers!). Again we were across the street but had specifically gone down to watch the transfer.
Nov 22nd never rolls by without me remembering the sights and sounds of that day.

Jimmy "the Weisel" Frattiano claimed that Giancana (the then Boss of Bosses out of Chicago) gave the go ahead for Marcello (of New Orleans) to carry out the assassination. It involved Castro (who had a grudge after finding out the CIA was behind the Bay of Pigs Invastion) so he got a patsy (Oswald) from the Russians to carry-out the deed. Marcello's beef was a result of RFK's investigations into organized crime. To cover the link to the Mafia, Marcello had Jack Ruby (a two bit night club owner in the Marcello organization) take out Oswald to seal his lips.
Giancana's beef with JFK was his impression that JFK renigged on promises to leave the Mafia alone since he felt he pulled strings in Chicago to get him elected.
Several weeks before the assassination, Oswald met with Cuban agents in Mexico. For inexplicable reasons, the FBI agents who were following up the Cuban connection as a part of the Warren Commission investigation, were recalled

If it was a conspiracy, then Jack Ruby would likely have knowledge of the whole "plot", and they would have had to get someone to kill Ruby, then someone to kill the person who killed Ruby, and so on in an endless chain of events. Anyway, the proof that Oswald acted alone is much stronger than any proof of a conspiracy.

Obviously he was killed by the CIA so they could remain in control of the country, he must have been going against The New Order of The Ages.
