Memory sticks are not for modems. At least not yet. I can't imagine why, but who knows what the future may hold. Present day, memory sticks may be placed into computers, cameras and/or printers if so equipped to handle the appropriate type of memory stick. Desktop PC's can have bays added so as they can handle more different types of memory sticks. Assuming it's internal memory you'll probably have to take the cover off the computer to add it unless it's external flash ram.

You don't put it in your modem, you put in into your motherboard which is inside of your computer's case. It depends what kind of RAM it is, but usually there are 2 clips on either side of the RAM slot...bend them out and push the RAM in until it clips itself.
