Almost any person I meet asks how old I am. I'm 20 but they think I look anywhere from 15-17. How can I do my hair/make up or dress to look my age? It's hard transitioning from teen clothes to adult clothes.

Ugh, tell me about it! I'm 24 and everyone thinks I'm 16 at best...

I reccommend watching a few dozen episodes of "What Not to Wear" (TLC), "How Do I Look?" (Style), and/or "Style By Jury" (We). You can take some notes on how to dress like an "adult," but still with a lot of fun so you don't loose your youthfulness... because honestly, who really wants to grow up?

You can find most of the styles at any store. Try looking at Wal-Mart (for low budgets), JC Penny, Belk's, and other higher-budget stores. You don't have to spend a fortune to be beautiful!

Good luck!

I am about to be 24 and I still get mistaken for a high schooler. Mainly because I dont wear makeup and I have a baby face.

Enjoy the youthful tone, you'll be wanting it back in your 40's.

Otherwise, if you need to look older to get more professional respect (which I do often) try these tips:
Stay away from 'fad' clothing, like extra long tops, or metalic or sparkle tops.
Try to dress in a classic styled clothing like the days of Audrey Huepburn, Jackie-Onassas/Kennedy. These classic styles will make you look more professional and mature, than the clothing for sale in teh junior departments.

Also wear more natural makeups with more browns and pink tones, stay away from golds/blues/sparkles. This will help make your face look more natural and less "made up"

Also try not to purchase platform shoes for work. A good 1-2 inch heel will give you a professional feel.

You will more than likely keep being told you look younger than you are. I am 33 now and I just stopped getting carded like 2 -4 years ago. Subtle makeup is probably one way to help and dress wise it depends on your style. I see many people in their 40s who are dressing like their pre-teen daugthers so I don't think clothes should be an issue.

try to slim it as much as possible useing bronzer don't wear too much black makeup go for softer browns and try to enhance your body by defining your waist and trying to play up your boobs and hips

Enjoy this while you still can, you will look older soon enough. I'm 45, my son is 30, my grandson is 5, when we are out together no one thinks i'm the grandma, this is way cool. ENJOY looking young,
