yes i do. the reason is that we are all traveling in the same car, no matter whose it is. the owner shouldn't have to fill up to chauffeur everyone around. if we were in one of the others' car, I'd offer to pitch in. if its somewhere i would've gone anyway, i dint worry about it, but if they need me to take them all around to do errands, they need to help out. i see it as though they'd be spending money if they were in their car using their gas, or even paying taxi or bus fair so why not help me?

Hell Yes!!! Gas is expensive! And I give them gas money if I'm not the going to drive. My Friends that live a fair distance from me know they have to chip in. If I have to drive 40 miles just to get them, then 40 miles back into town and then do all the driving while we are out, you better believe they are gonna pitch in!

No. Jesus Christ. Wow.
In my circle of friends, that **** would never fly.

Stop being such a penny pincher.

Ask to split gas if you drive with people for more than 2 hours, like to the beach or something

I don't, but I really appreciate it if they offer to pay. My friends used to pay my brother when he took them places sometimes and he was always very grateful. I don't think there's anything wrong with asking your friends to pay. If you are driving them all over the place, they should at least be considerate and pay you back for the gas.

If I just wanted to hang out and I suggested we go out I will usually pay for gas. But if they want to go out and we use my car the they never have a problem chipping in for gas thats good especially when gas is $3.49

look dude ask you friend if she thinks its fair that you two should split the fee or even if she wants to. i cant tell you what to do i can only give you my best advise. i don't know whats going on between you two and i don't wanna know. That's between you both and who ever you or her decides to tell. but hay if you really wanna see her i'm sure you'll find a way and if you because of bill or money issues i'm sure she will understand. if you can't get to her because of money issues i'm sure she'll try and go to you.

No, because they will not ask me to split the cost of gas. It's out of courtesy for each other.

i guess it depends on your situation.
if your friends drive you around as well, then dont bother splitting gas.
but if they dont drive and you do all the driving, it would be nice for them to split the cost of gas with you

Do I look like I'm made of money....silly rabbit. I'm never the schmo behind the wheel....and all my friends know that there's nothing but lint and bills in my pockets. In fact when they are too through with me.....I install my special magnetic chair and I sit on the trunk.
