I am going to las vegas next week and was wondering what the best buffets are? I am looking for something with very good food, maybe seafood and steaks with a good variety but not too costly, any recomendations?

I work at the Wynn, and the employee cafeteria is better than most of the hotel buffets I have eaten. So you can only imagine what their buffet must be like !! Does this answer your question?

seafood
Mandalay
Bay on Sunday night. Wow. Crab legs. The wildest selection of sea food that I've had. And it is Sunday night that they open the seafood selection.
Never been to a bad buffet in Las Vegas.
And one day take a walk to Ellis Island Casino on Harmon great steaks for under $10. You will thank me for this tip.

The Paris has a buffet that emphasizes French food. Most people enjoy it. it's also somewhat pricey.
Sunset Station has an excellent buffet that is not terribly pricey. On many nights you can get individually prepared steaks there. The Station Casinos do not all have the same buffet, by the way.

Do not go to the belicio it sucks for the price unless you are a yupee.

The Rio Buffet is the best buffet in vegas. the price is little high but there is so much good food, and a good variety.

Excaliber is also a good pick because of price and selection of that price.

As a frequent Vegas visitor I think the Bellagio is the best bang for the buck, particularly if you go at lunch. A huge variety of very fresh food, much of it gourmet in style and quality.

I have heard the Rio is great but have never been there.

For budget conscious the Station casinos are usually good.

You're not going to find steak on a buffet - in general. Prime rib, yes. A ribeye, probably not.
Luxor, the Palms, the Mirage, Rio, and Mandalay Bay have the best buffets I know of. The only one I haven't personally been to is the Mirage - but my friends who are locals swear by it. Mandalay's Sunday brunch is AMAZING. (It's not cheap, but SO worth it!!)
(I go to Vegas at least once a year, and have for the last twelve years.)

I have had good buffets at the Wynn, Mandalay Bay (really good!), Luxor and the MGM Grand. The buffet at the Mirage wasn't to my liking for breakfast but it wasn't bad. The only buffets to avoid are the ones at Excalibur (crummy) and the Sahara (nasty looking).
