He is like 6 '3. 210 pounds. Looks like a beast (in a good way)
You will expect a player like that to be like Gattuso, or Japp Stam but he is just NOT living up to expectations.
He has probably caused more penalties with his handballs and he gave up a goal against Canada yesterday (though it wasn't counted)

I will like your thoughts on him, will he bring IT against Mexico on Sunday?
By the way, I don't feel like US will win the game on Sunday let alone maintain a clean sheet. *wimpers*
Someone please tell me I'm wrong!!!!!

Im disappointed because I have seen him play some really good soccer before. Its just lately where he has struggled, I wonder why...

Gotta love the way Hajduk is playing though!

Hello,
You are wrong...haha. I do feel Onyewu has been a little disappointing lately with his penalties, but I'm still optimistic about him and think he will turn out to be an asset to the team. The yellow card against Hejduk really hurt us yesterday as well as the red card to Bradley. Hejduk, for some reason, I never really thought was that great but lately, he has changed my attitude about him 180 degrees. Anyway, Mexico hasn't looked that good lately and we are doing what needs to be done to win. Our bench is stacked with very solid and consistant players. Tim Howard will be back for the final game and Donavan, Beasley and Johnson (should he play) are all due for steller games. Bottom line, I think Bill Bradley will have an accurate read on all the on field matchups and will have a winning lineup. Mexico is a rivalry game so both teams will come ready to play, but I feel that with the unbeatable physical fitness level of our team and good coaching we will be fine.

He hasn't really impressed me even going back to the world cup. If only he were a gattuso... I didn't think we looked too great yesterday, the good news is neither did Mexico. Sunday's match is definitely winnable, but we'll need to take it up a notch. At this rate, I think it's going to be a quick exit for both teams in Copa America if we can't do better than this.

I have to agree. His physical presence on the field is so impressive that you want to have him out there, but his decision making leaves so much to be desired. I don't know....I just don't know if he's going to pan out or not. I'm not ready to give up on him yet, but I have my doubts.

PS---you're wrong. USA will come through again. You gotta believe!

his is trash, worst defender ever, he only knows how to foul.
Gets carded almost every game.
Worst American player besides Donovan.

Bradley should give more chances for Demerit and drop Onyewu

Not disappointed at all, I am curious about all the fouls they call on him. I think if he played for another country other than the US, he would not get called for physical play.
