i would like to play sims 2 on my new computer but i cannot find my sims 2 disc?

i do have the sims 2 pets disc but it requires the sims 2 origninal disc to play
is there any way to play without it or transfer the files from my old computer to just install the sims 2

If you have indeed bought the game then you could legitimately download an image file of the sims second disc using bittorrent etc (www.torrentspy.com is a good place to download from). Then mount this image onto your harddrive using a program like alcohol (google it) and then double click on it once its done and it will act like a cd/dvd drive and you can install everything you need. There is no other way I am afraid apart from buying it again - and thats probably not the best strategy considering everyone keeps buying it and hence EA are inflating the price well above what it should be for such an old game!

O boy that is a bummer!I don't have any help for you, but good luck with out it, because I can't live without that!But I think what you can do is that you take your memory stick (if you have one) and put it in your old computer, download it and put it on your new computer!But I don't know if that is going to work, so good luck and I hope you find your Sims 2 CD!

Nope.

The installation CD has installation files on it that are not transferred to the computer.

As a result, you don't have the installer on the old computer, and cannot install it on the new computer without the disc.

no you still need the sims 2 disk because when you install sims 2 pets it will ask for you to place in the sims 2 disk to check for 'updates'.

you could have the main present pastime to play. in case you have been to purchase place of residing existence now and put in it you need to apply that to play. Any pastime that grow to be released after seasons would be utilized quite of the seasons disc.
