**I had dark - brownish discharge just before my period..

at first I saw that dark brown discharge (something that I have for the first time), but only 2 hours after I get my period (red blood period)..
What is causing that discharge and It's a sign of something going wrong, or it's normal?

Hmmm...I must ask if you use tampons? If so...this I do believe the first person that answered is correct...old blood. I know it's totally gross to wear something other than tampons; however you might try something else for this month. ALSO: do you not douche'? Some think douching is so not good for you; however I think 'after' your period you should...to get 'everything' outta there. Ok..now I personally don't think that you have a 'problem' or anything is wrong...but if this continues you really should see your OBGYN. Another question? Are you sexually active? Use protection? All of the questions I'm asking is because they could all be left over and that 'is' what you're seeing as a discharge. (just a thought) Check out this link below though for more information to help you on this.

Vaginal discharge is normal and varies during your menstrual cycle. Before ovulation (the release of the egg), there is A LOT of mucous produced, up to 30X more than after ovulation. It is also more watery and elastic during that phase of your cycle.
A brown discharge may happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.

The things to be worried about include if the discharge has a yellow or green color, is clumpy like cottage cheese, or has a bad odor. If worried, see a doctor.

It's normal, just old blood is all. But if you are still worried go to a doctor. Do you have risk factors for it to be something else? Nothing replaces the advice of a doctor
