I have to travel a lot by bus and when I'm listening to music, time is running much faster. I do the same when doing house work. (Because of the same reason.) :) Oh, and I have to listen to the iPod because my husband doesn't like the same music.

I listen to it any time there is no other source of music available, like while at my son's baseball games or while walking and exercising.
Because it quiets the voices in my head....

When I am exercising because it would unbearable without music. Or on the train when I have finished reading the newspaper/doing the crossword (can't do both at the same time!).

ok, you asked me to be honest!
in my homeland i never thought of having one, cause its nice to hear whats going on in the street, it will save your life in fact, so in bullet shooting situation, its kind of stupid to listen to your funcky music instead of running..
while now, am in an international city, its somewhat disturbing to listen to the noise of the street & the 100 languages a day .. so here the answers come:
i only listen to my ipod when am outside, because i dont want to hear the crap and the pollution around me !!!
