hiya probably alot better answers above but ill give it a crack . cattermaran cruise is cool swim with the fish and the turtles its beautiful pretty amazing , scoober diving is good but snorkelling can be just as good , jet ski's all sorts of water sports .
west coast seas are very calm and that is the prodominantly wealthy part of the island , id suggest hireing a car probably be cheaper in the end and u get a little more freedom to roam to places further a field from the tourists . the east coast has some amazing beaches that go for miles which you will probably be the only people on , theres a place called harris smith house its derelict but theres steps down to this amazing beach in a cove . the drive ins a pretty cool experience if youve never been to one before , fish cakes rum and coke and theres loads more . have a good time .

You should have an educational island tour taking in the West Coast which is rich in history and also called the 'gold coast'. This side of the island will show where the first settlers arrived and the reason why it got its name-Holetown. Additionally, you will be able to see where the rich and famous live or have a house including Oprah and the hotel where Tiger Woods was married. Along the way you can go to Highland Outdoor Centre which is overlooking the African Coast and one of the most breathtaking views of the island-St. John Parish Church. Take in some of the nice beaches. This information and more can be given by one of the most knowledgeable taxi-drivers on the island. If you need any more information contact Ricky at 1-246-234-3010 or 1-246-430-6611 or e-mail me.
You can also go on a moonlight cruise-Harbour Master.
You did not say if you want Bajan food but if you do then go to Coach House or Ship Inn.
Additionally, there is Champers restaurant, Cocomos, Brown Sugar and Hilton among others.
You have to take in the Crop Over festival which is taking place right now, listen to the music and take in the activities.

I live in Barbados...always have and I am here now..Before a very good place to go would have been to Harrison's Cave but that is closed for reconstruction. Right now you best bet would be to take an island tour and if you want one organized just email me at phreaky316@hotmail.com ..my dad and grad dad are very good taxi drivers and not very expensive. The wst cost isnt as beautiful as it used to be because of all the new hotels but if you want uninterrupted ocean beauty go to the east coast. ANY photo album you will see a beach call Bastheba which is breath taking. The Cliff Restaurant the best restaurant in Barbados and is one of the best in the world and this is justified by the number of celebrities that go there. My brother works there and so far he has met Wayne Rooney Hugh Grant Jay Z Beyonce Morgan Freeman and many many others. That is all i can supply at the moment but if you want any more help email me at the address i earlier stated.:) Even if you don't contact me i hope you enjoy your stay. Unfortunately in July i will be in Cayman Islands playing rugby, but i am willing to help in any way i can.

My husband and I went to Barbados two summers ago and thought it was beautiful. I would highly recommend doing the horseback riding through the mountains. Our favorite restaurant was Daphne's.
Congrats and have fun!

And as for trips, there are plenty to check out such as Harrison's Cove (heard it's probably closed for renovation but could be wrong), Atlantis Submarine, Jolly Roger cruise, Animal Flower Cave (in northern Barbados), Bridgetown (its capital famous for duty-free shopping ranging from clothes to shoes to jewellery, stuff like that).

We had our honeymoon there 100 years ago (it seems). Definitely do one of the smaller catamaran snorkeling trips. Defintiely fo to the "native" side of the island they tell you not to go to; the waves are better, and the women can go topless, which my husband enjoyed.
