It's very drying for the nails, but I guess if you are only going to use it once a week or so, its ok. Just use some conditioning oil as well, to counteract the problem of drying!

Acetone has been known to cause cancer. Didn't you get your
acetone and nailpolish switched around. I don't need to use nailpolish remover. But, I do know to stay away from acetone
or use protection if I have to use it for anything. It is a great cleaner!

Not really sure that you are asking a question. Most nail polish removers contain acetone and/or ethyl acetate. Both have the capacity to extract or remove oil (skin oils, in particular) from the skin areas around the finger nail. This loss of oil makes the skin look whitish, but should pose no long term harm. One thing to remember, most polish removers also contain water and fragrance, though neither one removes polish. You can replace the oil by washing your hands with ordinary soap.

If you have been to a salon and had tips put on, acetone will eat them up. Also, it dries out your nails and cuticles easier than the nail polish remover without acetone. Hope this helps.

i have no idea, and i disagree. acetone is good as nail polish remover. it breaks down even the toughest nail color (red polish) I tried to follow everyone else and bought a remover that had no acetone, and it took forever to take nail polish off. with acetone it came right off. yes my nails looked really dry, but they werent, its just the look of them chemical on your skin and nail. besides you should wash your hands and lotion them when giving yourself manicures (just wipe the lotion off your nail before applying polish)

relies upon on the kind. some are generally acetone, the greater appropriate ones are ethyl acetate. the two one in all those contain organic and organic solvents and could burn going on. i do no longer think of the two will kill you, yet i do no longer propose ingesting them. Nya

If you use acetone then you may get it mixed with some Hydrogen Peroxide and then you have a mild explosive... so you may blow your fingernails off.

acentone dries your nails out like a lot, and it also causes yellowness after you remove your nail polish. even though non-acentone remover is usually intended for fake nails, youre better off using it instead.
