The ones you talk about depend on suspect sources of information,Fox,talk radio, right wing blogs, and basically don't care what happens in the rest of the world. While they are always totally prepared to wage war whenever the man tells them and even consider using nukes a good idea they have no clue what's happening outside the US or how global diplomacy or politics work.
Not all conservatives are like this. The ones that are informed still stay conservative but don't consider war a game or nukes an easy option.

You make perhaps a valid point here, by using humor. But it is if a real one, then your accusation that "neocons' world view is warped, denies or falsifies reality--and that they are preferring or swallowing it as opposed to dealing with realtiy becomes crucial to our national survival.
Recent events demonstrats that these unrealistic (pragmatic-impracticalist) minds have courted executive autocratic powers, sought and miseducated and appointed believers in their unrealistic ideas, promoted these minds as heads, hiring agents and new hires at government agencies, and then attempted to deal as exclusively with these fellow psuedo-theocratic unrealists as they could manage to do so.
They have admitted they knew that what they were doing was unprecedented and would eventually be challenged; they went ahead and did it anyway. They are so extreme they are far to the right of John Ashcroft and Robert Bork.
So the brief answer to your very important query: "why are neo-cons so ill-inforned?" is this: they are disniformed, and by their own admission prefer to be so.
They are not ignoring real space-time, its truth and scentist gathered facts, means of dealing with it, etc. They are I assert preferring another reality--an otherworld of supposed Biblical reference--to reality and importing ideas belonging to that putative otherworld into thisworld. The result has been: the failure of every law, every idea, every initiative neocons have ever undertaken.
But they don't care about failure nor success, not by the evidence--their purpose is to seek, arrogate to themelves and misuse federal power--then to argue (when their latest Iraq, new orleans, economic, educational or ecological disaster happens) that "what matters is strong, stubborn, infallibility-spouting leadership--and enforced obedience by everyone else to that leadership, the alternative to this tsar-slave collectivism being according to their thinking"anarchy'--i.e. the absence of their mighty "moral" authority over the rest of us.

If it weren't so frightening, I would find their argument the most frightening thing I have ever heard.
Their call for loyalty by the victims of their failed regime is a form of insanity, I argue, every bit as much so as a smiilar call by any other collectivists--fascists, socialists, communists, or theocrats of any other stripe would be.
Scar? They vilify liberals for both socialism and devotion to individual rights. Guess which of the two tendencies in their opponents they hate the most?

i listen to CNN, fox news, and ABC news, i read several on line sources, for news and information, so most of my sources are not fox news. i just have the ability to sift through the liberal bias of the mainstream media to make my own judgments based on the best available info at the time. if i am ill informed about world affairs it would seem it is not fox news fault but other sources of main stream media that has ill informed me.

i would like to know why liberals and democrats or so miss informed about world affairs, and reality in general?

All conservatives are not ill-informed. The nonsense that you see here on YA coming from conservatives does not reflect the general conservative community. Many of the conservative posters repeat mindless talking points, make misleading statements and sometimes just outright lie.

Intelligent, well-informed conservatives often make some good arguments but their basic philosophy is callous and short-sighted.

lmao @ Comics I don't read the Washington Post. Try picking up a Wall Street Journal, a Bible, a Us News and World Report. I am not going to defend Fox News to someone who has probably never watched it, so what would your arguements be to debate me on it. Except for your thoughts that they are ill informed and biased. Your way of thinking is a wonderful advertisement for Ted Turner. Watch Fox and form your own opinions. I have suffered through my fair share of CNN.

I can speak for most of us "cons" when I say we are some of the best informed people around. We read voraciously.Have you read any good books on Middle Eastern affairs lately? How about the latest page turner concerning the economics of war?Or perhaps the best seller about education reform?I thought not.Fox news isn't delusional, it is truthful.Too bad liberals can only see something when it spins!

I watch all the cable news networks and can't figure out this obsession with Fox News. It is pretty much the same as the others. i just don't see a big difference in their new and the commentary shows look a bit more conservative that say CNN or MSNBC but nothing extreme.
