It is a bit edgie.....
One must have the ability to distinguish the praise from flattery, the truth from the lie. When I know people are sincere, I certainly feel glad for their praise. It is nice to know you look nice, your taste and work are appreciated etc.

On the other hand, I like it because it gives me confidence which is a positive effect seeing as my self esteem level needs to be raised. It makes me feel worthy and motivates me to continue my work.

On the other hand it disturbs me for two reasons: When I know I'm unworthy, I hate receiving it because it makes me feel as if they're only falsely complimenting me. I also try to keep myself away from exposing my success when I know it's possible to receive praise because praise makes me feel as if I already reached a high level and there's no reason to keep going on for more. So it basically disrupts my natural flow and makes quit all actions.

Of course. I think we all do as praise motivates us and boosts our self esteem.

well i do appreciate it when they notice iv been working A LOT OF HOURS lol with hardly any sleep cause of Y/A lol

It use to really make me uncomfortable! People always say they like what I am wearing! I say thanks and smile! I am getting better at just saying thanks and going on!
